Enjoy a study holiday featuring tips for healthy veggie-growing, water efficiency to beat droughts, and energy saving: to trim your power bills and petrol costs. And it’s a simple-living holiday with time available to read, swim in a solar heated pool and make new friends…

Sustainable living ‘expert’ Rhys Taylor and Wai-natur’s Kay Hannam have teamed up to offer New Zealand’s ultimate clean and green holiday experience. No dress-code (save a fortune on High Street fashion), learn practical skills; swap ideas on bargain-hunting, and on gardening with nature as your helper.
Rhys has an MSC in natural resource management and certificate in continuing education (for those who rate qualifications), plus a decade’s experience writing and teaching sustainable living courses, mostly in Canterbury.
He runs a large organic garden, orchard and bush restoration project, and has built an eco-house, with his partner, that is mostly solar-heated, so he’s a “walk the talk” sort of guy, although less experienced as a naturist.
The weekend workshop begins on Friday 4th November and is suitable for adults aged sixteen and over. No special previous skills or knowledge are required, so do come with an open mind. Notes will be provided.
Kay’s partner, Brian Williams (multi-tasking as per usual), will serve complimentary morning and afternoon tea. During the weekend, tasty lunches and evening meals may be provided with prior notice.
Wai-natur Naturist Park offers a choice of accommodation options for you to choose from including Bed and Breakfast, ensuite cabin, onsite vans, powered sites and secluded tent sites. Situated in Wairau Valley, Wai-natur is only 30 minutes from Blenheim and 50 minutes from Picton. Set among 5 acres of beautiful gardens you can hear the birds singing and watch the cheeky fantails play. Relax and enjoy a glass of Marlborough wine or two in this unique naturist setting or drive to Hunter’s Garden Marlborough fete in Blenheim for a truly enjoyable Sunday afternoon out.
